ATS BALEARES S.L. was founded from a partnership project with the company Metalnox (established in Palma de Mallorca since 1987 as a leading company in marine mechanics and propulsion) signed in July 2020 and subsequently operationally implemented with the first contract in Spain in October 2020.
ATS BALEARES S.L. has a long-standing tradition of expertise in the naval sector, as the parent company of the group, ATS S.R.L., has long been active in the new construction sector with specialization in the design, construction, and on-site installation of all on-board piping for new yachts under construction. ATS BALEARES S.L. is indeed specialized in the construction of metallic and plastic hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, hydraulic power systems, fire protection systems, seawater cooling systems, and, in general, all high and low-pressure on-board systems. From this decades-long tradition, ATS BALEARES S.L. has successfully transferred its expertise to the Spanish territory, serving both local and international clients.
Since October 2020, the group has opened its headquarters within STP Shipyard in the heart of Palma de Mallorca. STP is a strategic location, offering 44,000 square meters of dock, 130,000 square meters of dry dock area, and 7 travel lifts of various sizes and capacities (30, 100, 150, 200, 700, and 1,000 tons), with the latter being the largest in Europe. The facilities also include 7 dry docks for yachts with deep keels and can accommodate up to 140 yachts simultaneously for refit and repair operations.
In addition to its presence within STP, ATS BALEARES S.L. also operates in all the main ports and marinas of Palma de Mallorca (for example, – Port Adrian, Club de Mar, Marina Cuarentena, Marina port de Mallorca, Pantalan de Mallorca -), as well as performing interventions on other islands of the archipelago, such as Ibiza and Menorca, frequently undertaking operations on the coasts of the Spanish mainland in major port cities like Barcelona, Tarragona, Denia, Valencia, Alicante, and Malaga.
ATS BALEARES S.L. is also a member of the Balearic Marine Cluster, an important point of reference in the nautical sector and the related supply chain of all the companies operating in the yachting sector in the Balearic Islands.
The company is also strongly committed to initiatives related to the environment, territory, and education; collaboration and training projects have been initiated with educational institutions such as Nautico Pesquero and EMBAT, with which a specific training project has been launched through the provision of the multilingual digital training platform ATS ACADEMY.
In addition to its activity in naval hydraulic systems, ATS BALEARES S.L. has specialized in managing Service Point activities for some of the most important shipyards, both Italian, where the parent company is based, and from other European countries. ATS BALEARES S.L. collaborates with many local companies belonging to the BMC Cluster, which are true excellences in the various trades necessary for a refit, routine maintenance, or urgent intervention.
